Newcastle Upon Tyne
I finally made it to my father's home town of Newcastle Upon Tyne. Disguised as uncle David, I moved among the family undetected and infiltrated their festivities. They seemed friendly enough as they shared their ales and foodstuffs without hesitation. Accompanied by my trusty companion Lady Tracy and armed only with a Brooklyn accent and a strong desire to drive on the wrong side of the road, we traveled the north country...
Yeah, something like that. The real purpose of this visit was to celebrate the golden anniversary of two very wonderful people, Eddie and Muriel Luck, our extended family. 50 years of marriage and their love for one another has only grown with time. True love by any definition. The bonus, and there were many bonuses during this visit was meeting and spending some time with Caroline and Andy. Both of whom turned out to be excellent tour guides who could find a good pint anywhere and maintained an excellent sense of priority (finding the pub). The lesson here was, we needed more time, we needed allot more time. This will be known as the scratch the surface visit. We will need to return soon before my new found driving skills erode away.
As always, I will be adding more photos as I process them.
Cheers
